Dr. Ribarsky Wins Prestigious Award

Dr. William Ribarsky, VisCenter Director, has been awarded the 2015 First Citizens Bank Scholars Medal. Nominees must focus on the excellence and importance of sustained contributions in research and creative activities, including work done over a substantial period of time at UNC Charlotte.  “I am greatly honored to receive the 2015 First Citizens Bank Scholar Medal,” says Dr. Ribarsky. “But I must acknowledge that the award would not have been possible without the contributions of the VisCenter core faculty members plus the students and postdocs with whom I have worked. I share this honor with them.”

UNC Charlotte presents the award each year, with support from First Citizens Bank, in order to recognize and foster the advancement and diffusion of knowledge and creative endeavors.
